About Glen Rubin
I am often known as The Man Who Knits in Public.
My studio has no walls.
You might find me knitting a scarf in a park, sketching in a café, photographing a city street, developing a new idea on a bench, or talking with strangers who become part of the story. New York City is both my workplace and my inspiration.
I have spent my life exploring different paths. Artist, entrepreneur, inventor, consultant, writer, student, problem solver, and observer of people. Some projects begin with yarn, some with a pencil, some with a camera, and some with a simple question that refuses to leave me alone.
What connects all of my work is a belief that creativity should be accessible, engaging, and capable of making people feel better. Whether I am creating a hand-knit scarf, a drawing challenge, a print, a piece of fiber art, or developing a new idea, I am always looking for ways to connect people through creativity and shared experiences.
I consider myself a modern-day Renaissance man—not because I have mastered everything, but because I remain curious about almost everything. I believe learning never stops, and that art, innovation, business, and human connection all belong in the same conversation.
This website is a collection of those journeys: handmade creations, original artwork, creative experiments, and ideas still taking shape.
Every piece has a story. Some began with yarn, some with a pencil, and some with a conversation on the streets of New York City.
Thank you for visiting and becoming part of the story.
